Sponge: Makers Market Socrates Sculpture Park, Long Island City, New York. June 26th-28th, 2009.

Sponge felt mittens, boots and kitchen-sponges were featured at Makers Market, an open-air marketplace featuring a curated selection of skillfully crafted products. The market was presented by American Craft, The Noguchi Museum, R20th Century and Socrates Sculpture Park. Sponge felt items were installed on three printed drops, designed with David Reinfurt, which told the stories of past Sponge performance-workshops. In the text, each element of a Sponge (visiting experts, readings, films, etc...) is assigned a color, which is defined by a color-code pattern.
